Chloroprene rubber, also known as chloroprene rubber adhesive or chloroprene adhesive, is a strong adhesive made from chloroprene rubber as the main raw material. Its core components include chloroprene rubber polymer, resin (such as terpene phenolic resin), solvents (such as toluene, ethyl acetate, etc.) and additives such as antioxidants and accelerators. These components together give it excellent adhesive properties, weather resistance and elasticity.
When distinguishing the quality of chloroprene rubber (commonly known as chloroprene allpurpose glue), one can approach it from three aspects.
High quality chloroprene rubber solution has a uniform texture without any layering or sedimentation, while inferior products often show turbiditylike impurities; when smelling the odor, good chloroprene rubber glue has a slight solvent smell but is not irritating, while inferior products often emit a strong and pungent odor, possibly due to excessive solvent content or impure raw materials; when testing the adhesion, highquality chloroprene adhesive has a high bonding strength and good toughness after curing, and requires a relatively strong force for peeling, while inferior products are prone to poor adhesion and brittle detachment.
